AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT İncelemesi: 500$ daha ucuza 3090’a yakın performans, ama 6800 XT ile aralarında az derecede fark var

Radeon konuşmaya yeniden girdi.

Radeon RX 6900 XT, AMD’nin 2015’teki R9 Fury X’in çıkışından sonra amiral gemisi GPU alanına yeniden girişinin sinyallerini veriyor. RX 6900 XT, ray tracing’de ve yapay zeka (AI) tabanlı süper örnekleme eksikliklerine rağmen NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090’a kafa kafaya erişebilecek raster(grafik) performansı sunuyor. AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT ‘yi Kırmızı Takım RDNA 2 ile bu zamana kadar ne kadar iyi ilerlemiş görmek için test sürüşüne çıkarıyoruz.

AMD, Ryzen ile CPU alanında Intel'e karşı güçlü bir şekilde ilerliyor, ancak Radeon birimi şu ana kadar rekabetin önemli ölçüde gerisinde kaldı. En son bir AMD amiral gemisi ekran kartından NVIDIA'nınkiyle aynı anda bahsedildiğinde 2015'teki NVIDIA Maxwell GeForce 980 Ti ile yarışan Fiji tabanlı Radeon R9 Fury X aklımıza geliyor. 

Uzun bir süre NVIDIA'nın amiral gemisi Turing parçaları rakipsiz kaldı. AMD'nin Vega 56, Vega 64 ve Radeon VII, NVIDIA'ya uykusuz geceler yaşatmaya çok az yaklaştı. Temmuz 2019'da AMD'nin Navi 10 tabanlı Radeon RX 5700 XT ile orta düzeyde bir başarı elde edebildi, bu başarı en iyi ihtimalle GeForce RTX 2070 Super ile karşılaştırılabilir düzeyde idi. 

Bunların hepsi artık tarih oldu. Geçen Ekim ayında AMD, NVIDIA'nın 1440p ve  4K oyun için RTX 3070, RTX 3080 ve RTX 3090 üst düzey Ampere tekliflerini üstlenme vaadiyle, RX 6800, RX 6800 XT, RX 6900 XT ve daha yakın zamanda RX 6700 XT'den oluşan Radeon RX 6000 serisi kartları resmi olarak tanıttı.

RX 6900 XT, en azından raster performansı açısından (elbette ki limitlerle birlikte) bir RTX 3090 rakibi olarak sabitleniyor. Ray tracing ve Yapay zeka (AI) tabanlı süper örnekleme gibi özellikler söz konusu olduğunda NVIDIA kartları şu anda üstün durumda. Ancak, RX 6900 XT'nin de kendine özel birkaç numarası var. 

Bu derlemede, en iyi Navi 21 XTX kartının adımlarını derledik ve NVIDIA'nın Ampere Goliath'ını almaya cesaret edip etmediğini görüyoruz.

AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT'de bir tur

Kutuyu açtığımızda "Kırmızı Takıma Hoş Geldiniz" mesajı ile karşılanıyoruz. Paket, bir hızlı başlangıç kılavuzunun ve bir "R" klavye tuşunun bulunduğu bir Radeon kartonu içeriyor. "R" tuşu tipik Radeon yazı tipinde ve RGB ışığının içinden geçmesine izin veriyor. Ne yazık ki paketimiz, perakende kutusunda olması gereken AMD markalı bir fare altlığı ile birlikte gelmedi.

Kartın kendisine gelince, AMD'nin RX 5700 XT referans kartında bulunan fan tipi soğutucuyu terk ettiğini ve bunun yerine üçlü fanlı bir soğutucuyu tercih ettiğini görüyoruz. Fanların üzerinde belirgin bir "R" logosu bulunur ve parlak gümüş metal bir çerçeveye yerleştirilmiştir. Üstte, kartın uzunluğu boyunca uzanan kırmızı bir kaplama ve ayrıca bir RGB Radeon logosu görüyoruz.

Radeon logosu varsayılan olarak kırmızı renkte yanıyor, ancak renkler arasında geçiş yapmak için bir CoolerMaster RGB LED aracı indirebilirsiniz. CoolerMaster'ın referans tasarımın soğutma sistemiyle daha önce Ryzen'in Wraith Prism stok soğutucusunda gördüklerimize göre bir ilgisi olduğunu tahmin edebiliyoruz.

En üstte, sağ kenara doğru yerleştirilmiş iki adet 8 pinli güç konektörü görüyoruz - NVIDIA gibi 12 pinli gösterişli uzaylı anteni yok, tercihinize bağlı olarak iyi veya kötü olabilir.

Arkada iki DisplayPort 1.4 çıkışı, bir HDMI 2.1 çıkışı ve DisplayPort'lu bir USB Type-C var. AMD'nin, NVIDIA'nın Ampere kartlarında biraz güç tasarrufu yapmak için görünüşte bıraktığı bir zamanda bir USB Type-C bağlantı noktası sunduğunu görmek güzel.

Tam olarak yeni birşey değil, ancak AMD'nin CrossFire desteğine veda etmesinden bu yana bir süre geçti, bu nedenle CrossFire Bridge bağlantı noktası yok. NVIDIA ise RTX 3090'da hala bir NVLink konektörü sunuyor.

Genel olarak, RX 6900 XT, neredeyse evrensel bir çekiciliğe sahip olması gereken düzgün bir 2.7 yuvalı referans tasarımına sahip.

Radeon RX 6900 XT, 80 işlem birimi (CU) yani 5.120 gölgeleme birimi sunan 7 nm'lik bir parça olan RDNA 2 Navi 21 XTX GPU'yu temel alıyor. Kartın temel hızı 1.825 MHz. Çoğu uygulama için GPU, AMD'nin Oyun hızı olarak tanıttığı 2.015 MHz'de çalışır ve 2.250 MHz'e kadar yükselir. İş yüküne ve mevcut termal boşluk payına bağlı olarak, daha da yüksek güçlendirmeler de mümkün.

RX 6800 XT gibi, RX 6900 XT de 256-bit veri yolunda 16 GB GDDR6 VRAM sunar ve 512 GB/s'ye kadar bellek bant genişliği sağlıyor. AMD, Radeon RX 6900 XT'yi 128 MB Sonsuz Önbellek ile donatılmış, bu da daha yavaş (ancak daha kolay erişilebilirlik) GDDR6 VRAM ve daha küçük 256-bit bellek veri yolunun üstünü kapatarak NVIDIA'nın daha büyük bir bilgisayarla elde edebileceğine benzer performans seviyeleri elde etti. veri yolu, daha pahalı GDDR6X VRAM ve daha yüksek bellek bant genişliği.

Radeon RX 6900 XT, toplam 300 W kart gücü için derecelendirilmiş. Stres testi sırasında, çekirdeğin tek başına 255 W'a kadar çekebileceğini gördük.

Test platformu

RX 6900 XT'yi değerlendirmek için test platformu olarak bir AMD X570 anakartı kullandık. Kurulumumuz, bir MSI Prestige X570 Creation anakart üzerinde 32 GB (16 GB x) G.SKILL Trident Z Neo DDR4-3600 RAM (16-19-19-39 zamanlamaları) ile eşleştirilmiş bir AMD Ryzen 9 5950X işlemci içeriyor.

Windows 10 20H2'yi en son kümülatif yamalar ile çalıştırmak için bir Gigabyte Aorus NVMe Gen4 1 TB SSD kullanıldı ve iki adet 1 TB Crucial MX500 SATA SSD'ye  de karşılaştırma programları ve oyunlar kuruldu.

16Ç/32T Ryzen 9 5950X'i serin tutan Corsair iCUE H115i Capellix AIO soğutucuydu. Kurulum, güç kaynağı olarak Thermaltake Toughpower 850 W 80 Plus Gold ile bir Corsair iCUE 4000X RGB kasasına yerleştirildi.

RX 6900 XT, 4K 60 Hz'de çalışan bir OnePlus U Serisi 55U1 akıllı TV ile eşleştirildi. Radeon yazılımında renk çıkışı Full RGB 4:4:4 piksel formatına ve Windows masaüstü ölçeklendirmesi %100'e ayarlandı.

AMD'ye RX 6900 XT ve Ryzen 9 5950X'i, iCUE Elite Capellix AIO soğutucusu ve iCUE 4000X kasası için Corsair ve U serisi 55U1 4K TV için OnePlus'ı sağladığı için teşekkür ederiz.

Sentetik Testler

3DMark testlerinin çoğunda, RX 6900 XT, NVIDIA RTX 3090 ile eşit veya ondan daha iyi. Maksimum farklar, 1440p'ye kadar 3DMark Fire Strike'da görülüyor. 4K Fire Strike Ultra'da, liderlik ortalama RTX 3090'a göre yaklaşık %11'e düşüyor. Ancak Time Spy, AMD ve NVIDIA amiral gemilerinin aşağı yukarı birbiriyle eşit olduğunu gösteriyor.

Ray Tracing söz konusu olduğunda RDNA2 mimarisinin yetenekleri tam ölçüde zayıf değil, ancak RX 6900 XT'nin algılanabilir bir şekilde RTX 3080'in %15 ve RTX 3090'ın önemli ölçüde gerisinde kaldığı Port Royal testinde eksiklikler oldukça belirgindir, %24 oranında. Bununla birlikte, bu kıyaslamada RX 6900 XT'nin ortalama RTX 2080 Ti'den yaklaşık %9 daha iyi performans gösterdiğini görüyoruz.

Unigine karşılaştırma ölçütleri, özellikle Valley ve Heaven ölçütlerinde OpenGL testlerine kıyasla DirectX testlerinde daha iyi puanlar gösteriyor. Superposition’da, RX 6900 XT, 8K Optimize edilmiş testinde RTX 3090'ı %20 geride bırakıyor. Bu boşluk, daha düşük çözünürlüklerde önemli ölçüde daralıyor ve GPU'nun 4K Optimize Edilmiş karşılaştırmalı değerlendirmede yalnızca yaklaşık %8 geride kaldığını görüyoruz.

Oyun Testleri

Test edilen oyunların büyük çoğunluğunda RX 6900 XT, 4K Ultra ayarlarında beklenen çizgilerde performans gösteriyor. RX 6900 XT, Assassin's Creed Odyssey ve Assassin's Creed Valhalla. gibi AMD donanımı için optimize edilmiş oyunlarda NVIDIA kartlarına göre bir avantaja sahip görünüyor. AMD'nin amiral gemisi kartı Battlefield V, Hitman 3, F1 2020, and Forza Horizon 4'te de listelerin başında yer aldı. 

Bununla birlikte, RTX 3090, test ettiğimiz çoğu oyunda %9 ila %20 arasında avantaj gösterdi ve bazen Mafia Definitive Edition'da 4K Ultra'da %30'a kadar çıktı. RX 6900 XT'de sekiz ek hesaplama biriminin (CU) bulunması, oyun oynarken RX 6800 XT'ye göre önemli bir avantaj sağlamıyor gibi görünüyor.

Smart Access Memory (SAM)(Akıllı Erişim Belleği), AMD'nin Resizable (BAR)  (yeniden boyutlandırılabilir temel adres kaydı) için kullandığı süslü terimdir; CPU'nun her zaman tam GPU VRAM'ına erişmesine izin veren bir PCIe özelliğidir. (başlangıçta 32-bit işletim sistemi uyumluluğu için 256 MB GPU belleği ile sınırlıdır). Tüm RDNA 2 GPU'lar kullanıma hazır SAM'ı desteklese de, bunların bir Ryzen 5000 serisi CPU ve B550 veya X570 yonga setli bir anakartla eşleştirilmesi gerekir (bu anakartlardaki Ryzen 3000 CPU'lar da artık desteklenmektedir). Ayrıca, anakart satıcınızdan bu özelliği etkinleştiren BIOS güncellemelerine (AGESA 1.1.0.0 veya daha yenisi) bakmanız gerekebilir.

SAM'ı etkinleştirmek için BIOS'a gitmeniz ve PCIe Alt Sistem Ayarları altında hem "Above 4G Memory/Crypto Currency Mining (4G Bellek/Kripto Para Birimi Madenciliği)" hem de "Re-Size BAR Support" u etkinleştirmeniz gerekir. Ne yazık ki, sürücü aracılığıyla SAM durumunu kontrol etmenin bir yolu yoktur.

AMD, Big Navi açılış konuşması sırasında SAM konusunda oldukça heyecanlı görünse de, gerçek dünyadaki performans kazanımları, eğer varsa, şu anda yalnızca birkaç oyunda görülüyor. Emisyonlar

RX 6000 serisi ile AMD, daha yetenekli bir üçlü fanlı soğutma sistemi için geleneksel üfleyici tarzı soğutucuyu terk etti. Bu yeni soğutucu kesinlikle daha iyi sürekli hız sağlarken, kartın genellikle FurMark stresi altında 100 °C sıcaklık noktası olan, sıcaklığına yaklaştığını görüyoruz. Çekirdek’te ayrıca 82 °C'de oldukça sıcak çalışıyor.

Çoğu zaman, RX 6900 XT, oldukça sürdürülebilir bir  2.086 MHz boost sunuyor ve bazen 2.379 MHz'e bile ulaşabiliyor. Yine de, sıcak nokta sıcaklığı 100 °C'ye ulaştığında, hızlar oldukça hızlı bir şekilde eski haline gelmesine rağmen, zaman zaman daralma(throttling) görüyoruz.

Gürültü ve sıcaklık seviyelerini belirlemek için FurMark stresini kullandık. Güç tüketimini ölçmek için 1080p Ultra ön ayarlı FuMark ve The Witcher 3 kullanıldı.

Sıcaklık

Yüzey sıcaklıkları da üst tarafta daha yüksek görünüyor. FurMark stres testini çalıştırırken GPU alanının yakınında yaklaşık 85 °C ve güç kaynağı VRM bölümünün yakınında 67 °C kaydettik.

Kartın üst kısmındaki hava çıkış delikleri yaklaşık 74 °C'ye kadar çıkabiliyor. Bu nedenle, özellikle kasanın temperli cam yan paneli varsa, kasanın içinde ısı birikmesini önlemek için iyi bir egzoz fanı kullanmanızı öneririz. Deneyimli kullanıcılar, kartı düşük voltajla çalıştırmayı ve daha düşük bir güç limiti belirlemeyi faydalı bulabilir. Bu, potansiyel olarak sıcak nokta sıcaklığını azaltabilir ve daha önce gördüğümüz bazı saat düşüşlerini önleyebilir.

Boştayken GPU ve sıcak nokta sıcaklıkları olarak sırasıyla 49 °C ve 54 °C kaydettik. Radeon RX 5700 XT referans kartının aksine, RX 6900 XT artık boşta fan durdurma özelliğine sahip, bu da fanların yük olmadığında tamamen kapandığı anlamına geliyor.

Güç tüketimi

Test programımız, dengeli profilde tüm RGB aydınlatması kapalıyken ve toplam beş fan (üç Corsair SP 120 mm kasa fanı ve iki Corsair ML 120 mm radyatör fanı) ve Elite Capellix AIO pompası kapalı durumdayken boşta ortalama 99 W güç tüketiyor.

FurMark ve The Witcher 3 Ultra stres testleri sırasında sırasıyla ortalama 456,8 W ve 488 W toplam sistem güç tüketimi kaydettik. FurMark stresi sırasındaki güç tüketimi, daha önce tanımladığımız hız düşüşleriyle tutarlı olarak ara sıra düşüş gösteriyor.

Yeni RDNA 2 kartları, RX 5700 XT'ye göre kesinlikle artan güç tüketimi gösterse de, bu konuda RX 6800 XT ve RX 6900 XT arasında pek bir fark olmadığını belirtmek ilginç. RTX 3090 Founders Edition ise FurMark stresinde RX 6900 XT'den %10 daha fazla güç tüketirken, The Witcher 3 Ultra'da ise %5 daha ekonomik.

AMD'nin yeni üçlü fanlı soğutma sistemi, iyi gürültü seviyelerinde çalışıyor gibi görünüyor. Tam bir fan durdurma modunun mevcudiyeti ile, sound pressure level (ses basıncı seviyesi) (SPL), kapalı kasadan 20 cm mesafede 28,70 db(A) ortam seviyeleri ile hemen hemen aynıdır.

FurMark stres testi sırasında SPL, kasa kapatıldığında oldukça tolere edilebilir olan 44.13 db(A)'ya yükseldi. Kullanıcılar, Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition veya MSI Afterburner gibi üçüncü taraf araçları kullanarak sıcaklıkları ve fan eğrilerini daha da optimize edebilirler.

AMD'nin GPU pazarında mazlum olduğu günleri Radeon RX 6900 XT ile resmen sona erdi. RX 6900 XT, NVIDIA'nın amiral gemisi tekliflerini gerçekten üstlenecek cesarete sahip ve bunun çoğu testte yansıtıldığını görüyoruz. En yeni Navi 2x kartlarıyla AMD, şimdiye kadar gördüğümüz fan tipi soğutuculara kıyasla daha iyi termal performans için RGB Radeon logosu ve üçlü fanlı soğutucu ile tamamlanmış daha çarpıcı bir tasarım benimsemiş görünüyor.
