Strix GL502 serisi Asus'un Aorus X5S serisine cevabı olarak nitelenebilir. Daha makul fiyat ve daha iyi yapım kalitesi. Ancak oyuncuların önemli bulabileceği NVMe, RAID 0, birçok SODIMM slotu ve ek depolama alanı seçenekleri, G-Sync, RGB klavye, Macro tuşlar, Thunderbolt 3 gibi bağlantı olanakları yok. Asus rakiplerle kıyaslandığında çok çıplak bir cihaz sunuyor. Yüksek kaliteli ekran, geniş renk kapsamı, yüksek performansı ise 15 inçlik cihazı ROG serisinin sunacağı bir oyun cihazı haline getiriyor.

GL502VY modeli ve GTX 980 grafik kartının nasıl çalışacağı merak konusu. GTX 970M modeli hali hazırda biraz ısınabiliyor. GS60 kadar kötü olmasa da Asus soğutma sistemi yönünden Aorus modellerinin gerisinde. Ancak genel olarak GL502VT sunduklarıyla bizi etkiledi.
