Dell'in Latitude 7380 modeli mevcut 7280 ve 7480 modelleri arasında kalıyor. XPS 13 modeline kıyasla 7380 de 13.3 inçlik bir ekran kullanıyor ve birçok yönden mevcut 12.5 inçlik 7280 modelinin yerini alıyor. En iyi tarafı ise bu yaklaşımın hiçbir eksi yanı yok. Kasa stabilitesi genel olarak iyi, ekran kapağı belki XPS 13 modellerinin alüminyum seviyesinde değil ama yeterli, magnezyum yapımı ise oldukça sağlam.
Dell'in Latitude 7380 modeli ekran boyutundaki farklılığı daha da arttırıyor. Ödün vermekten çok iç çeşitlilik arttırılmış. Tüketici serisi XPS 13 baz alınmış ama Latitude serisinin tüm iş yetkinlikleri kullanılmış.
7380'nin sistem performansı ve yoğun kullanımda bile tutarlı olan işlemci hızı etkileyici. Düşük yüzey sıcaklıkları ve rahatsız etmeyen fan sesleri kullanıcı dostu ve boyutu için etkileyici. Daha da etkileyici olan ise web gezinmesi testinde 10 saatten fazla kllanım sunması. Tüm bunlara ek olarak kalibrasyon gerektirse de ortalamanın üzerindeki 1080p IPS ekranı.
Belki de en rahatsız edici nokta biraz da olsa farkedilebilir olan elektronik bileşenlerin sesi, ekranın kutudan çıkar çıkmaz kalibrasyona ihtiyaç duyması ve yüksek fiyatı. Bunlara nazaran biraz daha az hayal kırıklığı yaratan noktası tek kanallı bellek ile gelmesi. Elbette Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon, HP EliteBook 840 G4 ve Toshiba Portege X30-D diğer rakip modeller ama hepsinin kendi artı ve eksileri var.
Peki neden XPS 13 varken Latitude 7380 seçilmeli? Çoğunlukla iş cihazı olmasından ve Latitude markasının bunu yansıtmasından ötürü. Bunların dışında 7380 daha iyi bir klavye ve touchpad sunarken Ethernet portu, daha uzun garantisi ve daha kolay bakım olanağı sunuyor. Elbette fiyatı da bu yüzden daha yüksek.
