Yeni Nexus 5X kapağının altında son teknolojiyi barındırıyor. Modern Snapdragon sistem çipinin yanı sıra Bluetooth, NFC ve AC Wi-Fi gibi özellikler mevcut. Birçok farklı mobil ağ da desteklenmekte. Dahili parmak izi okuyucu sorun çıkarmadan çalışıyor ve oldukça tutartlı GPS modülü kendini farkettiriyor. Ekran da birçok noktada özellikle parlaklığı, kontrast oranları ve tutarlı renk üretimi ile kendini sevdiriyor.

Ana kamera keskin fotoğraflar çekiyor. Çift LED flaş bazen resim kalitesinin ışıktan kaynaklı düşüşünü engelleyemiyor. Ama o olmadan da resim üzerindeki pürüzler artıyor. UHD video kaydı özelliği hoş olmakla beraber, kısıtlı depolama alanından ötürü bir sorun haline gelebilir. Nexus 5X kullanıcıları 32 GB den daha fazla depolama alanına sahip olamayacaklar.

Nexus kullanıcılarının Android güncellemeleri konusunda da sıkıntı yaşamayacaklarını söylemek gerek, sonuç olarak güncellemeler direk Google üzerinden sunulacak. Genişletilemeyen depolama alanı dışında, cihazın fiyatı da biraz başarışını engelleyebilir. Bunun dışında cihaz oldukça kullanışlı ve kullanıcıyı tatmin eden bir ürün.
