Yeni HP EliteBook 840 G4 eski G3 modelinin aslında sadece Kaby Lake güncellemesi. Boyut, kasa kalitesi vs. gibi tüm bileşenler halen rekabete karşı iyi durumda. Sadece ekran menteşelerinden gelen çıtırdama sesleri ve harici touchpad tuşlarının sesleri genel izlenimi biraz etkiliyor. Bileşenlere erişim bir diğer pozitif nokta. RAM güncellemesi oldukça kolay. Arayüzler, özellikle klavye oldukça hoş.
14 inçlik iş cihazı performans ve emisyonlar konusunda hayal kırıklığı yaratmıyor. Sessiz ve çok ısınmıyor. Intel Core i5-7200U işlemci performans potansiyelini iyi kullanıyor. HP, batarya kapasitesini de arttırdığından 10 saatlik kullanımları görmek mümkün.
İyi kasa, yeterli performans, düşük emisyonlar. HP EliteBook 840 modekinin 4. jenerasyonu çok iyi bir iş cihazı olabilir. Ancak TN ekran en iyi olmasını engelliyor.
HP'nin EliteBook modelini çok az güncellediğini bağlantı noktalarından da anlamak mümkün. Gerekli tüm bağlantı noktalarına sahip olsanız da geleceğe yönelik Thunderbolt 3 gibi bağlantı noktaları yok.
Ama en büyük sorun Full HD TN ekran. Çözünürlük ve aydınlatma sorun olmasa da diğer noktalarda büyük bir hayal kırıklığı. Sınırlı bakış açıları en büyük sorun. Böylesi bir cihazda bu tür bir ekran kullanılmamalıydı. Eğer EliteBook 840 modeliyle ilgileniyorsanız kesinlikle IPS modelini almanız gerekir.
