ThinkPad P50 oldukça enteresan, ama olası alıcılar için kolay karar verilebilecek bir model değil. Öncelikle pozitif yönleriyle başlayalım: Turbo Boost problemi çözülmüş. Artık tam performansı her daim almak mümkün. Kasadan gelen çıtırdama sesleri de düzeltilmiş.

Ekran için durum daha karmaşık. Full HD ekran aydınlatma ve renk aralığı yönünden çok etkileyici değil ama 4K ekran da kendi sorunlarına sahip. Pazarlanan aydınlatma değerlerine erişilemiyor. Kontrast da çok iyi değil. 4K ekran renk aralığı yönünden daha avantajlı. Bu yüzden görsel işlerle uğraşanlar için kesinlikle daha ideal. Güç tüketimi oldukça yüksek, bu yüzden kısa batarya kullanım süreleri mevcut.

Fanslar yoğun kullanım esnasında biraz çabuk hızlanmaya başlıyor ve cihaz genel larak ısınıyor. Eğer genellikle yoldaysanız Full HD model daha çok işinize arayabilir.
