A Motorola Edge 30 egy jó középkategóriás telefon extra vékony házban, és 155 grammos pehelykönnyű súlyával megelőzi a versenytársakat. Akik különösen vékony és könnyű telefont szeretnének, azok megfelelő jelöltet találnak ebben a 6,5 hüvelykes modellben.
A látszat ellenére az Edge 30 a teljesítményt tekintve nem könnyűsúlyú. A Snapdragon 778G+ 5G, a 8 GB RAM és a 128 GB tárhelynek köszönhetően jól felszerelt a mindennapi használatra, és valamivel gyorsabb, mint egyik fő riválisa, a Samsung Galaxy A53 5G. Az Edge 30 még egy lépéssel tovább is megy az AMOLED képernyőjének 144 Hz-es képkockasebességével. További pluszpontok az alap Android 12, a gyors és stabil WLAN, a sztereó hangszórók és az 50 MP-es kamera, amely nappali fényben jó fotókat készít.
A Motorola Edge 30 egy vékony és könnyű középkategóriás telefon 144 Hz-es kijelzővel és jó teljesítménnyel, de kissé rövid üzemidővel.
Az Edge 20 egyik fő kritikája az Edge 30-ra is érvényes: az akkumulátor üzemideje legfeljebb átlagosnak mondható. A felhasználók tehát nem számíthatnak arra, hogy a telefon valós használat mellett mindig egy napnál tovább bírja. A vásárlóknak emellett nélkülözniük kell a microSD foglalatot és az Edge 30 vezeték nélküli töltésének lehetőségét is.
A Motorola Edge 30-nak jó alternatívája lehet például a Samsung Galaxy A53 5G, amely majdnem ugyanolyan gyors, valamivel világosabb 120 Hz-es AMOLED panellel rendelkezik, és valamivel olcsóbb is. Még olcsóbb a Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE, amely Snapdragon 778G-vel fut, és 90 Hz-es AMOLED képernyőt használ.
