Nevertheless, the build quality is still excellent and holds its own against any competitor. Lenovo has proven that image quality doesn’t necessarily depend on high resolution—the T14s’s display delivers impressive visuals. All included equipment met our expectations, aside from the somewhat limited SSD capacity. A 5G modem for on-the-go network access is a rare feature in this segment, giving the T14s an edge. Battery life is sufficient for more power-demanding tasks. However, at a starting price of $1,600, this should be expected, especially considering the range of alternatives available at this price point. For those who prefer something a little more flamboyant, Lenovo’s broader lineup offers plenty of eye-catching options.

I highly recommend the laptop to professionals (or anyone really) who want a lightweight powerhouse that can handle a wide array of office and productivity workloads. You can also configure this machine with higher-end components, including a 1TB SSD, but that will bring the price up to around $1,600. If you prefer something cheaper with a solid chipset, Lenovo is selling the ThinkPad T14s with a Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite chipset, starting at $1,181.

It’s built well, looks good, has a great keyboard and strong performance, and it’s perfect for large companies with a lot of laptops to manage. At the same time, its battery life isn’t great. And, it’s a bit expensive, although large commercial customers who buy it will do so at better group purchase prices. So it’s an easy laptop to recommend for commercial buyers but not as easy for mainstream users.
