The display is impressive, Curve AMOLED is always a different experience. A flagship SoC at a cheap price. The unique functionality of Pressure-sensitive Fingerprint allows you to assign a command. Good battery life and impressive triple camera set-up. This phone is still unique, immersive, head turner, and worth the price even in 2020.

A variety of settings and options mean you can use the second display as little or often as you like, while still enjoying all the benefits of the main camera for selfies, but it still feels a little awkward even at the best of times. It’s just a shame that camera isn’t better, with strong hardware let down by software that’s only OK. Then again, factor in the price - and super specs - and the Z20 delivers plenty of bang for its buck.

The nubia Z20 is easily my favorite phone among the ones I've used. The dual-screen implementation is thoughtful, and nubia found multiple ways to make good use of it. The pressure-sensitive edges are a feature I didn't expect to see and it's proven to be pretty useful for me. Meanwhile, the camera is easily the best one I've used, with a pretty great night mode to go along with it.

The Z20 feels forced, like Nubia tried too hard to make it special just for the sake of it. The second screen is a nice conversation opener, but that’s about it. Meanwhile, you can get similar specs and a hassle-free camera experience from many competitors, without spending more. For these reasons, we can’t recommend picking up the Nubia Z20, unless you really like the idea of having a second screen on the back of your phone.
